Liz has been interviewed by a broad range of media interested in EcoVillage at Ithaca. The village has gained a worldwide reputation as a living laboratory for systemic sustainable living. Many of EcoVillage's residents have launched sustainability initiatives in and around Ithaca. Examples include a secondary school focused on sustainability, a car sharing service, organic farms, local food and farming initiatives, retail store with environmentally friendly products, county wide sustainability networks, partnership with Cornell University and Ithaca College, and hosted more than a thousand visitors from all parts of the world interested in living sustainably.
Liz has been interviewed by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Popular Science, American Demographics, American Architect, Utne Reader, Communities Magazine, and the Cohousing Journal, among other print media as well as NPR and PBS.
As Executive Director of EVI Center for Sustainability Education Liz's mission is to promote experiential learning about ways of meeting human needs for shelter, food, energy, livelihood and social connectedness that are aligned with the long term health and viability of Earth and all its inhabitants.
