Cornell has made a commitment to an impressive Climate Action Plan. The University is aiming for zero carbon emissions by 2050 - better by far than most nations. This will take all sectors of the university working together.

Each of us has the opportunity to be involved - to choose how we live. Choosing sustainability is a choice made again and again -- day in day out, with passion and conviction, patience and persistence.

Join me on Wednesday, December 1 in talking about and sharing our passion for living sustainably. Come and connect; come and re-commit.

I want to express my appreciation to President Skorton's for his moving endorsement of my book. I hope each of you will be touched, moved and inspired by the people and groups whose stories are being told -- and create in your actions future stories!

“In this fascinating description of one community’s efforts to design and implement more sustainable living, learning and work environments, Liz Walker strikes just the right balance between successes achieved and the challenges that remain. I highly recommend the book to all who are interested in this urgent issue.” – David J. Skorton, President, Cornell University
